MEET THE MALINALI TRAVEL TEAM

WEAVERS OF PATHS, ENCOUNTERS, AND SOULFUL EXPERIENCES

THE HEART OF OUR ECOSYSTEM

Malinali Travel was born from two decades of deep journeys through the cultural and natural soul of Mexico. More than designing trips, we weave networks: between travelers and hosts, between our team and a wide constellation of partners, between territories and hearts.

The heart of our ecosystem is made up of four passionate, visionary women committed to transformation. Each with her own story, her own fire, her own gift. Four souls who came together because they believe in the power of travel to plant beauty, awareness, and change.

Murielle Coppin

Murielle Coppin

Founder of Malinali Travel · Journey Designer · Certified Guide · Facilitator in Mindfulness, Nature Therapy & Regenerative Tourism

Murielle is a bridge between worlds. Born in Belgium and Mexican by choice of the soul, she has devoted her life to encounters—between cultures, people, and territories, and above all, with oneself. Trained in Romance Languages, she worked as a Spanish teacher in Brussels, but soon realized her vocation was broader: to explore and share the many ways of living and inhabiting the world.

For several summers, she traveled across Latin America as both traveler and volunteer, embracing experiential learning and connecting with communities and territories through a humble, committed gaze.

Since 2005, she has lived in Mexico, where she designs, organizes, and guides journeys with deep love for the country’s biocultural diversity.

In 2020, she completed a diploma in Sustainable Business Creation (CIDES). In 2024, she trained in Regenerative Leadership with the Regenerators Academy. In 2022, she immersed herself in the regenerative tourism approach through the Global Regenerative Tourism Initiative (IGTR), with which she currently collaborates as local coordinator in Chiapas.

Her journeys—designed for agencies, individual travelers, and groups—interweave tourism with mindfulness practices, yoga, and nature therapy. Each itinerary is an invitation to wonder, care, and awakening, where human encounter, community wisdom, and relationship with the land are at the heart of the path.

““For me, traveling is walking a new, unknown path, full of intersections that always lead you back to yourself. Encountering other cultures awakens essential questions, opens the mind, and refines the heart. Every step in nature is a return to origin, a dialogue with the essence of life. Traveling is both forgetting and remembering, letting go and offering. It is removing inner and outer veils until you stand face to face with what is true—and from there, regenerating.”

Claudia Reyna

Claudia Reyna

Content Manager · Passionate Traveler

Claudia is movement, joy, and connection. Born in Jalisco and raised in Mexico City, her life has been shaped by a deep desire to explore the world and discover new ways of being and inhabiting it. She studied International Relations, but it was through travel and the art of communication that she found her true calling.

In 2021, she arrived in Chiapas—a place she now considers her soul home. There, she found not only a land rich in beauty and culture, but also purpose, community, and meaning. It was also in Chiapas that she met Murielle and Malinali Travel, with whom she felt an immediate connection: a shared vision of traveling with awareness, respect, and wonder.

Today, Claudia promotes experiences that weave together the art of travel with the joy of living. Through content creation, she seeks to inspire more authentic and regenerative ways of connecting with the world.

“For me, traveling is dancing with the unknown, allowing yourself to be transformed by simplicity, and remembering that home can also be a path. It is embracing who we are through the reflection of other landscapes, other voices, and other ways of feeling life.”

Addy Peréz

Addy Peréz

Administration · Reservations · Weaver of Invisible Threads

Addy is root, fertile land, deep Chiapas. A Maya Ch’ol Indigenous woman, proud of her origins and her steady walk, she has been a defender of women’s rights in her community from a very young age.

For fifteen years, she was part of an organization committed to transforming inequalities of gender, class, and ethnicity—a path that gave her tools to grow both professionally and personally, planting dignity and awareness where it is most needed.

Since 2015, Addy has been the logistical heart of Malinali Travel. Her attentive gaze and calm presence are reflected in every reservation, every invoice, every caring follow-up with partners and allies. Her work silently sustains the daily dance of journeys coming to life. She is the one who weaves the invisible threads so that each experience flows in harmony.

“For me, traveling is recharging the soul. It is a reunion with myself, a disconnection from routine, and a deep connection with life. Through travel I discover cultures, stories, people… and I learn patience and gratitude. Traveling has taught me that nothing is eternal, and that is why every moment must be enjoyed as the unique gift that it is.”

Gabriela Fuentes

Gabriela Fuentes

Historian · Certified Guide · Experience Designer · Birdwatcher

Since 2003, she has lived in San Cristóbal de las Casas, where she cultivates her love for history, art, textiles, and birds. As a historian, she has explored pre-Hispanic art and Mayan iconography, discovering that ancient symbols remain alive in the hands, songs, and weavings of Indigenous peoples.

This revelation ignited a deep commitment to preserving and sharing this living heritage.

Gaby does not only guide physical paths—she guides journeys into the cultural heart of Chiapas. She has been a teacher, host, international volunteer, and couchsurfer; all these experiences have shaped an open and generous perspective that transforms each journey into an opportunity for mutual understanding.

Since 2018, she has actively participated in the Urban Birds Program, and since 2019 she has coordinated the birdwatching committee of the Amazilias Network, promoting birdwatching as a tool for education, conservation, and conscious enjoyment of biodiversity. A promoter of ethical and regenerative tourism practices, she believes in the power of tourism to heal relationships—between people, between cultures, and between humans and nature.

“Traveling is the path toward tolerance. It has given me identity, perspective, and purpose. Today, I want those who visit my land to live authentic, deep experiences that awaken empathy and plant within them a more loving way of seeing the world’s diversity.”
