OUR COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITIES
At Malinali Travel, we believe that true regeneration begins at the roots: within community, through love for the land, and through the living memory of peoples.
That is why, in 2015, our civil association Maya-Be was born—an initiative that works to heal the wounds of disconnection and forgetting left by colonization, both ancient and modern, and to rekindle dignity, wisdom, and pride within Mayan and rural communities of southeastern Mexico.
Through workshops, journeys, and exchanges, we accompany children, youth, and young adults in processes of (re)connection with their culture, their territory, and their history. We want new generations to recognize themselves as guardians of a profound legacy and to live with the certainty that their biocultural identity is both strength and future.

“Feel, Think, and Act” Methodology
1. Feel
We offer workshops, excursions, exchanges, and visits to cultural sites, natural reserves, and community spaces to reconnect with biocultural heritage through the full range of human senses.
2. Think
We facilitate spaces for dialogue and collective reflection to integrate learning, recognize local challenges, and co-create possible solutions.
3. Act
We accompany participants in the creation and implementation of projects that regenerate their cultural and natural environments.
Our Projects in Motion
Our Projects in Motion
Living Education on Mayan Biocultural Heritage
We believe in an education learned with feet on the ground and heart wide open. That is why our learning experiences take place within the territory and with its people: workshops on Mayan history, worldview, and symbolism; experiential classes in ecology, herbal knowledge, and environmental care; visits to archaeological sites, community museums, gardens, artisan homes, and nature reserves.
Community-to-Community Exchanges
We facilitate encounters between Mayan communities that celebrate their internal diversity and weave bonds of solidarity. Through these exchanges, knowledge, challenges, and shared dreams are exchanged.
We are guided by the philosophy of Tourism for All, because we believe that travel—even within our own communities—is a way to expand awareness, heal relationships, and open new possible futures.
Regenerative Tourism With and For Communities
We accompany communities on their path toward regenerative tourism through workshops, courses, and personalized processes. We do not bring recipes, but rather an invitation to dialogue, listening, and co-creation.
Together, we design authentic experiences where the focus is the process: human encounter, living memory, and deep respect for the land.
