OUR NAME, STORY, AND NETWORKS
OUR NAME
It symbolizes constant change, the connection between nature and humanity, and the possibility of flourishing from within. Like the subtle weaving of the earth, our journeys seek to interlace cultures, knowledge, and hearts.
Malinali is regeneration, community, and the art of walking with purpose.
OUR STORY
It all began in July 2005, when Murielle, founder of Malinali Travel, arrived in Mexico to take part in a volunteer project in Michoacán. What she thought would be a year became a lifetime. After that experience, she headed to Chiapas, where her heart found both home and purpose.
She began organizing journeys for Belgian agencies, walking a solitary path for years—through coffee plantations, mountains, and communities that taught her to see the world through different eyes. Ten years passed before Addy joined the project. Together, they decided to found the Maya Be Foundation, driven by a deep desire to give something back to the communities that had shared their time, knowledge, and territory with them.
Another decade later, they realized that the path—though beautiful—becomes more fertile when walked in company. It was then that Claudia, with her enthusiasm for communication and sales, and Gabriela, with her sensitivity as a guide, joined this dance of shared paths. The encounter with the Global Regenerative Tourism Initiative opened new doors. Murielle immersed herself deeply in this movement, and later Addy and Gabriela did as well.
Today, Malinali Travel is much more than an agency: it is a living ecosystem of relationships, shared learning, giving and receiving—where every person—traveler, guide, host, seed-planter—is part of a network that blossoms with each encounter.
THE NETWORKS: THE MYCELIUM OF OUR ECOSYSTEM
Dreams, when shared, find fertile ground in which to grow.
At Malinali, we believe in the power of alliances that nourish, support, and expand. We are part of a living network of projects, agencies, communities, and people who—like invisible roots—sustain and strengthen this shared vision:/span>
