POSITIVE IMPACT TOURISM

A WAY OF NURTURING CHANGE

Meaningful experiences for those who wish to contribute to a more vibrant world

At Malinali Travel, we believe tourism can generate transformation—both for those who travel and for the territories they visit. Traveling is not only about discovering new landscapes, but also about opening the eyes of the soul, questioning, listening, and regenerating.

This is an invitation to enter the dance of life: to give and receive with awareness, to place yourself in service of something greater, and to become an active part of a weave that regenerates, nourishes, and transforms.

Regenerative Volunteering in Mexico

What if traveling were also a way of contributing to a better world?

Beyond helping, volunteering is a deep encounter—with yourself, with other peoples, and with the Earth.

It is a conscious pause, an opportunity to slow down, look life in the eye, and give yourself—hands and heart—to a cause that nourishes as much as it transforms.

By joining local initiatives, you will learn about sustainability, resilience, and community weaving through lived experience. And you will not return the same: you will come back with authentic bonds, valuable learnings, and a more sensitive and committed way of relating to life.

We offer two unique experiences of at least one week for those who wish to be part of this regeneration:

Sea Turtle Conservation on the Coast of Oaxaca

Just 15 minutes from Puerto Escondido lies VIVEMAR, an NGO that protects 27 km of coastline where four species of sea turtles nest. It also leads mangrove reforestation projects, environmental education, and citizen science initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Cleaning and protecting nests, and releasing hatchlings into the sea;
  • Night monitoring by ATV to locate and safeguard nests;
  • Additional activities: community gardens, birdwatching, reforestation, beach cleanups, and ecotourism.

Voluntariado Biocultural en San Cristóbal de Las Casas y Zinacantán, Chiapas

On the outskirts of San Cristóbal lies El Encuentro Ecological Park, a refuge of life and ecological awareness. Here, we collaborate with Pies a la Tierra and Yoonik, two initiatives that sow hope through agroecology and education.

What will you do?

  • With Pies a la Tierra, you will participate in the ecological garden and prepare collective meals using freshly harvested ingredients
  • In Zinacantán, you will support educational activities with children—from school support to creative workshops in cooking, mural painting, or music
